Your Plum will automatically cool each bottle to the perfect serving temperature for that varietal. If you want to adjust the temperatures for a specific bottle, touch the wine DETAILS button and then use the + and – buttons in the bottom left to adjust the temperature.
If you want to adjust the temperature for every bottle of a given varietal, touch the SETTINGS button, then select TEMPERATURE and scroll to the varietal that you wish to change.
The time it takes to reach the desired temperature will vary depending on how you stored the bottle (i.e. room temperature or in a cellar at 55F) and what the target temperature is. Your Plum will pre-chill the chamber to 55 degrees to cool your bottle faster.
You can see a small cooling symbol on the screen if your bottle is currently cooling.
Plum is designed to serve wine at the ideal temperature and preserved for up to 90 days, directly from the bottle to the glass. To ensure Plum pours immediately, about 0.5oz of wine remains in the wine circuit and outside of the bottle. Should there be an extended time between pours, it is possible that a small pour size (3oz or less) will be warmer than the bottle temperature. If there has been more than an hour in-between pours, we recommend pouring a full 5oz glass for the optimum tasting experience.
The location of your Plum will affect how well it is able to cool. To attain efficient cooling, there should be at least 3” of clearance from the rear of Plum and 6” of clearance on both sides and above. The ambient temperature must be below 80 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure proper cooling and prevent premature wear. Plum is designed for an open-air environment, away from direct sunlight and heat-generating devices. Plum is designed for INDOOR use only. Using Plum outdoors will void your warranty.
