Cleaning the Touchscreen
The touchscreen has a glass panel to make it durable and easy to clean. To clean the touchscreen, spray a small amount of glass cleaner on a microfiber cloth and gently wipe down the display to avoid scratches.
To avoid accidentally pouring wine, go into SETTINGS > SCREEN then select SCREEN CLEANING which will disable all input for 30 seconds so you can clean the screen. After 30 seconds it will automatically return to the default wine screen.
Cleaning the Front Panel
The front panel is finished in a UV coating to prevent fading. To clean the front panel, simply wipe the panel with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh cleaners to prevent damaging the finish.
Cleaning the Stainless Steel Shell
Your Plum is finished in a #4 brushed 304-grade stainless steel. It is recommended that you use only stainless steel cleaner to keep your Plum looking beautiful.
Cleaning the Bottle Trays
The bottle trays are powder-coated for durability. Simply wipe the bottle trays down with a cloth or paper towel if any wine is on the tray.
Cleaning the Needles + Sealing Cups
The needles do not need to be manually cleaned, but the area under the needle doors, that is to say, the bottom of the Plum's chambers, needs to be wiped out with a paper towel every 30 days. The rubber sealing cups that the top of the bottle goes into should also be wiped out every 30 days, with additional care as the needle tips are sharp and at the bottom of that rubber cup.
The needles are incredibly durable and designed to last more than 300 bottles per chamber. If your Plum's needle requires replacing you can order replacement needles on the Accessories page.
