The most common weird noise is that the Plum's TEs have frozen over. To make sure this is the issue, go to Settings > General > Open Door. If the noise stops while the door is open, this confirms this issue is frosting on the fan blades.
To resolve this, while the door is open, turn the Plum off. This is done by the switch on the back bottom left. Leave it powered down, with the door open for 6 hours, then turn it back on. You are fine to leave your wine within the Plum, as the preservation system will still be working in the off state.
When you finish your wine, and the tray is in the untapped position, you'll need to remove the needle door to gain access to the condensation well. You'll need to remove all water buildup with a paper towel as the melted icing will accumulate there. This is especially recommended in the warm summer months.
